Grand Marnier Glazed Grilled Granny Smith Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients 4 medium Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2" thick rings
3 tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
3 tbsp Grand Marnier or any other Orange Liqueur (or try also Amaretto, Frangelico or a combination of Tequila & Triple Sec)

Indoor Preparation Place all ingredients, except apples, in a saucepan and leave on grill until sugar is dissolved. When the sugar is dissolved, place apple rings in it and coat on both sides. Grill apple slices for 3-5 minutes until a light glaze forms and they are slightly softened. Place apple slices on serving plates and place a scoop of ice cream in the middle of the plate. Drizzle leftover brown sugar mixture over apple slices.
CookingTips
Note: If sauce is drizzled on the ice cream, the butter hardens into little fatty globules.
