Grilled Bourbon Peaches

Ingredients 8 Fresh Peaches or 2 cans of Canned Halved Peaches
3/4 cup Sugar
1 1/2 cups Water
1 cup Cider Vinegar
8 Whole Cloves
1 cup Bourbon (add more if desired)

Outdoor Preparation Grill halved peaches until they are slightly charred (fresh peaches are best, but canned are acceptable.) Add extra sugar to the peaches before grilling, if desired.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, cider vinegar, cloves and Bourbon. Bring to a boil and let simmer to dissolve sugar and thicken slightly--about 10 minutes. Combine this syrup with the peaches and cool.
