Buying Pork
If you are cooking boneless cuts, you will need approximately ¼ to 1/3 of a pound (about 4 - 5 ounces) per person. If you are cooking pork
chops, you should get about 1/3 to ½ lb. (5-8 ounces) per person. For ribs, you will need about ¾ to a pound (12-16 ounces) per person.
And remember, the better of a cook you are, the more you will need to buy!
Which Cuts to Choose
The best cuts of pork for the barbeque include rib chops, centre-cut loin, spareribs, shoulder and boned picnic roasts.
Blade chops are not recommended. Click here for more information on pork cuts.
Perfect Pork Chops 101
The best way to cook pork chops on your barbeque is to sear first, then cover and reduce the heat to medium-low until cooked through, about 6
minutes per side. Cook pork to medium-doneness, to allow for perfect tenderness and juiciness.
