Manitoulin Wild Rice Burgers

Ingredients 1 cup Wild Rice, cooked
1 cup Long Grain White Rice, cooked
2 medium Eggs
2 tbsp Yogurt
2 tbsp Oil
Pinch Chili Powder
2 tbsp Rosemary, freshly chopped or dried
2 tbsp Sage, freshly chopped or dried
Salt & White Pepper
1/4 cup Fine Bread Crumbs
Water

Indoor Preparation Mix all ingredients together, except bread crumbs. Add just enough for the flour and bread crumbs to make the mixture pliable. Roll into burger size servings, using water on your hands (to prevent sticking).

Outdoor Preparation Place on a hot grill (or in a skillet) until cooked. Serve on bannock or heavy roll. (Try our Ojibway Baked Saged and Onion Bannock--see Appetizers).
